beach wish
In the clearing of the sky
I've seen the color of your eyes
and in the breathing of the waves
I've heard your breath
You cannot know the fine decay
as I wait by this icy bay
that kisses me so mortally
when you are near
The treasured wreck not seen by me
seductive as the summer sea
lies cool like love behind your mouth
and waits to speak
So while you row against the mire
reluctant with that scorched desire
I walk along the coast of heaven
and yearn to swim
