Today's Freudian Misogynist Slip comes to us from this article about Julia Louis-Dreyfus' hair. After learning that she had only been deemed "fuckable" after straightening it, Louis-Dreyfus is reported to have broken out laughing. The article remarks:
"Well, yes, that response is 110 percent correct, since, contrary to popular belief, the goal of every female comedian is not to make all the guys want to fuck them. And, even so, last time I checked, plenty of dudes were more than willing to fuck ladies with curly hair. Anyway, the insults didn't stop there..."Emphasis added by yours truly, in case you missed the WTF moment in that paragraph. Sorry, funfeminists, you can't simultaneously object to being called "fuckable" AND argue that yeahuh you ARE TOO "fuckable." It rips the logical fabric of the universe, and nobody wants that.
Oh my dear lord. Why on earth aren't you huge, yet? This is my first question of many. I love your writing voice. Love that you're sharing your journey of writing/publishing. Huh. How do I spread word of Minerva Koenig?
